Myself and My Family for Tough Economic Times and Times without Power and Other Amenities
A) When a Federal government is joined by big business, their reach can be very significance. To demonstrate their power, they may turn off ours. Read about how to survive other “tricks” they may play at the link with the same title, “Their Tricks.” Power outages, bank holidays and many other things can be tolerated when you are prepared for them. So let your family know you have a plan to survive these trials.
B) Together think of ways you can make it more bearable, such as card and board games, camping ideas like smores over the gas stove, etc. Know where these items are so you can get a jump on any whining.
C) Help your family learn how to deal constructively with adversity. Use it as a way to demonstrate you prefer to endure for the sake of your greater liberties and freedoms.
D) Buy a hand-crank radio, solar-powered items, etc. to keep the essentials in tact in your day-to-day lives.
E) If the power does go out, increase your vigilance of all things around your home, your town and community. The power going out could be a precursor to more tricks.
F) When you are prepared, you can overcome your fear. Be a “MyGyver” and look for solutions. Plan ahead.
