NG Do Security in Kingman, AZ

From Videographers: Kingman AZ Friday 18th 2009 around 4.45 pm Downtown on Andy Divine National Guard perfoming “police” duty, providing “security’ and directing traffic.

We support our soldiers and troops but we do not support the unlawful deployment of our soldiers on US soil, to “police” the Citizens… A clear violation of the The Posse Comitatus Act.

Section 1385 of Title 18, United States Code (USC), states:

Whoever, except in cases and under circumstances expressly authorized by the Constitution or Act of Congress, willfully uses any part of the Army or Air Force as a posse comitatus or otherwise to execute the laws shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than two years, or both.

Why and Who is permitting this “unamerican” precedent and violation of the law in Kingman?  Are we living in a Police State City?

  1. For those of you that don’t know, the event above was the annual street races held here in Kingman, Az. The national guard not only has a booth there but some of the members actually participate in the race. This is a big event for Kingman, and the national guard has always helped with traffic control during the event. For those of us in the know, the national guard was no big deal. For someone wanting to sensationalise it, just doesn’t make sense to all of us.
